Online IP market launched
The Virtual Component Exchange (VCX) will be the first Web-based market where high-tech companies can buy and sell intellectual property (IP) needed for developing electronic technologies. Launched from Edinburgh, Scotland, it has taken two years to build the network of online rights traders, expected to reduce the costs of locating and marketing tech patents.
