This strange combination of irritating design flaws and outstanding images does not stop the Olympus C-8080 from being a highly recommendable choice, even though it has limits, which might bother professionals. It works amazingly well and its high resolution and lack of noise are highly conducive for photo enlargements. In short, the camera is an excellent vintage and proof that the prosumer digicam market is by no means up a blind alley.
