OCZ Announces Full Support for RDRAM PC-1200 and PC-1333
OCZ Technology Group, a manufacturer of PC-1200 RDRAM modules that utilize RSL Technology, has announced that it will support Rambus RDRAM Modules and SIS RDRAM chip sets. OCZ will also offer support for 4-Channel PC-1200 RDRAM with 9.6GB/sec of bandwidth, as well as PC-1333 RDRAM in future market developments. OCZ’s RDRAM PC-1200 modules are supposed by the new SiS 658 chipset, whereas the 4-Channel PC-1200 is supported in the just announced SiS R659 chipset.
This is good news for SiS as they can use all of the support they can get for the new chipset. One has to wonder if the PC-1333 RDRAM 4-Channel modules will be ready for the R659 chipset when it finally ships later this year ?
