OCZ announces DDR2-800 performance memory
OCZ announced the release of the PC2-6400 EB ("Enhanced Bandwidth") Platinum series as extension to its performance memory lineup. The DDR2-800 devices run at 4-3-3-8 latencies, which, according to OCZ, is the "fastest DDR2 operation on the market."
The PC2-6400 EB Platinum modules run at 2.1 volts and are encased in a sleek, platinum mirrored copper heatspreader to improve heat dissipation. OCZ offers the memory only as 1 GByte dual channel kit. Pricing has not been announced. (THG)
