O2 cuts roaming charges
Spanish Telifonica has announced that O2 European customers will see price cuts on roaming and data charges. Text messaging for prepay UK customers abroad will also see a significant drop from 49p to 25p.
Previously O2 charged bill payers between £6 and £7.05 per MB, depending on the country being visited. Pay as you go customers were paying as much as £15per MB. The lovely people at O2 have decided on a £3 per MB charge for both prepay and bill pay customers and are offering a data bundle of 50 MB at £35.
A spokesperson told silicon.com that the price changes will come into play before the summer. No doubt so they can cash in on all the blackberry holidaymakers and who could blame them ?
