Nvidia to integrate Java platform in GoForce processors
Santa Clara (CA) - Nvidia today said that it has signed a cross-licensing agreement with Aplix, which will enable the company to use the JBlend Java platform for its handheld GoForce graphics processors. As part of the agreement, Nvidia will distribute the graphics solution to its "network of content developers." Both companies said that they will promote the jointly developed package to OEM customers.
Nvidia will have access to the "M3G" Mobile 3D Graphics API for J2ME, Java bindings to OpenGL ES (JSR 239) and Java bindings to SVG for scalable vector graphics, according to a press release.
