Other Tests
There is more to a game than just how fast it runs, of course. In addition to benchmarks against the SLI reference system, we will go into a little more depth in terms of image quality, color depth, and overall image experience. We had a limited time with the hardware and wanted to conduct more tests to see how the images look on both sets of hardware, so we will be following up this review with more analysis. For now, we thought we could leave you with an impression of what we saw in more than just 3DMark 2005.

ATI
Click on the pictures to see them in greater detail. In the first set, notice that there aren't many, if any, differences; both ATI and NVIDIA render the image in a similar fashion. However, looking at the second and third set, you will see that ATI does a much better job of dealing with shadows. You will notice more defined jagged edged shadows in image 2 and 4. In addition, the ATI rendition of the Canyon Flight game test in 3DMark 2005 also appears to have richer colors than the NVIDIA version.
