Serious Sam: Second Encounter

The NVIDIA cards had to be set to 24 bit Z-Buffer. If this hadn't been done, SS:SE would only run in 16 bit with the NVIDIA cards, while ATi cards would run with 24 bit.

Again, it becomes apparent that Serious Sam is NVIDIA's territory. Initially, the FX 5600 can hold its own against the 9500 PRO, but it falls increasingly behind as the resolution increases. Once more, the 4200 is faster. The 5200 Ultra closes in on the 9500 cards again. Very interesting - the 9000 PRO boards beat the 9500 boards! This implies once again that ATi might have specific driver problems in this game.
