Nvidia releases DX10 game developer kit
Santa Clara (CA) - Nvidia is demonstrating at GDC 2007 a newly released toolkit for the development of DirectX 10 games running on its Geforce 8-series graphics chips.
According to the company, the updated toolkit enables game developers accelerate the creation of games that deliver "almost lifelike graphics and physics realism." Included in the package, which is offered free of charge, is the SDK 10, texture tools, the debugging software PerfKit 5, ShaderPerf2, the shader authoring tool FX Composer 2 and a shader library.
The software is aimed at Nvidia’s latest GPU platform, which consists of the 8000-series graphics processors and the 680-series chipset. Game designers interested in the toolkit can download the software from Nvidia’s website.
