Nvidia designing Xbox `mystery chip'
Graphics chipmaker Nvidia is said to be working on a second chip for Microsoft's Xbox.
Nvidia, which already is producing the gaming console's graphics processor, would not reveal what the second chip would be used for, but analysts predict it could provide the device with advanced sound or additional power for video functions. Scheduled for release next fall, the Xbox will offer game playing, Internet access and a DVD drive.
