Nvidia, AMD subpoenaed in graphics chip investigation
Nvidia and AMD, the new owner of graphics chip maker ATI, have confirmed idependent from another that they have subpoena from the San Francisco Office of the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ).
Both firms said that no specific allegations have been made, while the subpoenas relate to a DOJ investigation "into potential antitrust violations related to graphics processing units and cards." Both Nvidia and AMD intend to to cooperate with the DOJ in its investigation, according to company statements.
