Nvidia adds GeForce 6600 AGP and 6800 LE PCI Express to product line
Nvidia today expanded its GeForce 6 series with the models 6600 AGP and 6800 LE PCI Express. Both versions are variations on current and will be mainly channel products that show up in systems and at a "few retail or etail place", Nvidia said.
The 6600 AGP comes with a 300 MHz core, eight shader pipes three vertex units and a 128-bit memory interface. The 6800 LE PCI Express integrates a 325 MHz core, eight shader pipes and four vertex units as well as a 256-bit memory interface. The chip also supports Nvidia’s SLI technology.
The 6600 AGP will retail for about $150 to $200, depending on the configuration. The 6800 LE PCI Express ranges from $230 to $280. (THG)
