NVIDIA has winner on their hands in the AGP arena. The card can clearly push out frames with ease with the limitations of the AGP specification. It could handle everything we threw at it. Any AGP card that can do an average of 46 frames per second in F.E.A.R. under the workload of 4xAA and 8xAF at 1024x768 has some serious horsepower. Although cards are not anticipated to hit retailer shelves until Sunday and online e-tailers until Monday, this should make gamers with legacy hardware very happy as it will most likely drive down the cost of cards. Elusive cards like the 6800 Ultra AGP card, which can fetch as much as £185 on eBay, should fall as well for those who want a piece of history. And that is what it is, history. No longer does it hold the top AGP spot. As the old commercial goes, "Move over bacon, here comes something leaner."
