Our test platform is a high-end PC from Supermicro equipped with a X6DA8-G2 motherboard
Hard disks can be swapped easily as this PC has a backplane
2 Intel Xeons at 3.6GHz (Nocona core) are supervised by the E7525/Tumwater chipset. At the left bottom of the picture you can see the following slots: x16 PCI Express, PCI 33MHz, x4 PCI Express, 1 PCI-X at 133MHz, and 2 PCI-X at 100MHz
