Nuke plant guard caught napping
White Plains (NY) – This should make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside – An armed guard stationed at the Indian Point nuclear power plant was caught napping by a federal inspector. The incident occurred Sunday afternoon and according to a Nuclear Regulatory Commission spokesman, the inspector spent two minutes trying to wake the guard.
The employee has been placed on administrative leave and now faces drug and alcohol testing. Power plant officials stress that there was no security breach.
