Nueva alerta del virus: Elecciones2000
Protests over last weekend's Peruvian election results have apparently spawned a potentially damaging variant of the popular Melissa virus.
Elecciones2000 - commonly known as Melissa.au - uses MS Outlook to e-mail users in all of the address books on a system a message with the subject line "Elecciones 2000: ultima encuesta Apoyo!" All other times, it is "Urgente: Confirmar!"
Once activated, the payload contained in an infected attachment will delete all files on all drives starting at drive C and finishing with drive Z.
