nReach Bluetooth Adapter for Game Boy Advance

by - source: Tom's Hardware

Half the fun of playing games is dominating a living, breathing opponent, whether you're simply comparing scores or playing head-to-head. However, if you're linking two Game Boy Advance devices together via a cable, your head may seem to be just a little too close to that of your opponent, especially if your pal has questionable hygiene habits. To give you a little breathing room when you're whooping your neighbor at Final Fight, nReach will soon be releasing a means to play head to head wirelessly. The company's new Bluetooth Adapter for Nintendo Game Boy Advance is said to not only let GBA users play games against other users wirelessly, but send and receive Instant Messages, and access channel-based Internet content. You can use the Bluetooth adapter to connect to the Internet through your PC via a Bluetooth USB adapter, through a Bluetooth-enabled cell phone, person to person, or through an nReach deployed "Hot Spot". nReach says its "Hot Spot" environments are being deployed by various retailers, malls, and locations that cater to gamers. The Bluetooth Adapter for the Game Boy Advance will be available in Q2 of 2002. Until then, remember that halitosis is better than no breath at all.
