Novell Posts Quarterly Profit
Novell, Inc., a manufacturer and developer of computer networking software, has reported a 13% sales increase and a profit for the quarter ending July 31, with sales increasing to $282.3 million from $249.1 million. Novell's net income in the third quarter was $9.9 million, compared to a net loss of $19.3 million just one year ago. Novell, based in Provo, Utah, provides operating system software and directory programs that compete directly with Microsoft's Windows suite of programs.
