Novell offers free download of Suse Linux Professional 9.2
Novell released a free download of Suse’s operating system Linux Professional 9.2. The software can be downloaded as complete 3.1 GByte ISO image for DVD burners or as a 62 MByte image for CDs. The software is built on Linux kernel 2.6.8, offers WLAN and Bluetooth support and brings KDE 3.3 and GNOME 2.6 as graphical user interfaces.
Novell includes numerous applications, such as OpenOffice 1.1.3, Evolution 2.0, GIMP 2, Inkscape, a PDF creator, TextMaker and PlanMaker, Quanta and Nvu as HTML editors and the graphical database Rekall with the DVD image. Users who download the CD version can add software to their operating system later on.
