Global notebook production concentrated at top-four Taiwan makers

The global production of notebooks has become more concentrated in 2006, with combined shipment from the top-four Taiwan notebook makers - Quanta Computer, Compal Electronics, Wistron and Inventec - to account for more than 70% of global production, according to sources at Taiwan notebook makers. In 2005, the top-four makers combined took up a 54.5% share of global production.
