NORAD Tracks Santa Live On Christmas Eve
Following its 47-year tradition, the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) will again track Santa Claus as he makes his annual journey delivering toys on Christmas Eve. Along with conducting its critical mission of protecting U.S. and Canadian airspace, NORAD performs this special duty for children around the world every Dec. 24. The "NORAD Tracks Santa" site is designed by Analytical Graphics, Inc. (AGI) and is hosted on the web by America Online. Visitors to the web site will receive video and audio reports throughout Christmas Eve. The site focuses on 25 key stops the Jolly Old Elf makes around the globe, beginning in the Aleutian Islands and ending in Hawaii with visits to Moscow, Paris, New York City, San Francisco (don't forget to stop at my house, dude) and other cities in between. The "live" video clips start on Dec. 24 at 4 a.m. (ET). The site is available in English, French, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish. Just remember kids, Santa won't come down your chimney to bring you shiny new graphics cards if you're sitting awake at your computer when he comes by to drop off the goods. You have been good little overclockers, haven't you?
