NOR flash suppliers fulfilling only 40 percent of demand
Even after repeated price increases for Silicon Storage Technology (SST)-made low-density NOR flash, industry sources are saying that prices may rise another 25 percent as supply is lagging demand by 60 percent. Although the local Taiwan distributor of SST recently expressed doubt that the price increases will persist for more than one quarter, industry sources are now saying that the supply gap has increased.
