Nokia's 7650 Symbian OS Phone

It's a phone, it's a camera, it's a convergence device by being both. Nokia's new 7650 is a 2.5G Symbian OS mobile phone that includes a camera and a color display that's based on Symbian OS v6.1. Features of the Nokia 7650 are its support for GPRS and HSCSD connections, WAP, Bluetooth, SyncML, infrared, email, MIDP Java support and multimedia messaging (MMS). Imaging toys include an integrated digital camera with a VGA resolution, picture taking and sending, a photo album for storing pictures, and a 176 x 208 pixel color display. MMS works like SMS, but lets you combine audio, graphic, text and imaging content in your messages. Once you select a picture, write a message, and include an audio clip, a multimedia message can be sent to another multimedia messaging-capable terminal (if you have friends with the same phone) or to an email address (if you're set up with this typ of service). The Nokia 7650 will be available in Europe and Asia during Q2, 2002. So much for the cool factor of my 8290.
