Industry players: No critical price growth expected for DDR2 this month

Despite leading Taiwan memory maker Nanya Technology stating it expects to raise its DDR2 contract prices 10% in March, industry players are more conservative about price trends amid an observed slowing of demand. The present shortage of DDR2 will not lead to a significant boost in prices in the first half of March, as most PC OEMs have already pre-stocked sufficient inventory, according to sources at DRAM makers.
