Nintendo nears 3 million Game Boy Advance orders
Number two game console maker, Nintendo Co., says it has received 2.7 million orders for Game Boy Advance. Nintendo plans to ship 1 million game machines initially, followed by 25 million units worldwide before March 2002. Game Boy Advance is the successor to the original Game Boy, which has sold over 100 million units in eleven years making it the most successful game machine in history.
Nintendo President Hiroshi Yamauchi also confirmed that Sega Corp. will produce game software for Game Boy Advance.
