Nintendo demos Game Boy Advance
Nintendo Co. showed reporters in Tokyo the Game Boy Advance portable video-game machine, to go on sale in Japan March 21 for $82 and in the US June 11 for $99.95. The monitor now displays 32,000 colors as compared to the 56 of Game Boy Color. Nintendo has 25 games ready for the launch date.
More than 100 million Game Boys have sold since its introduction 11 years ago. Game Boy Advance was scheduled twice for previous launches, once last summer and again for Christmas. The hand-held devices will attach to the Game Cube console when it is released later this year and cables allow players to play against one another using one game cartridge.
