Nikon recalls 90,000 Coolpix 2000 digital cameras

On August 13, Nikon disclosed that excessive heat from batteries in certain models of the Nikon Coolpix 2000 digital camera could alter the shape of the battery chamber cover. Bloomberg reported Nikon company spokesperson Masayuki Hatori as saying the problem could even lead to fires.
