New Nexus 7 Now Available in the UK for £200

Say hello to the new Nexus 7!

Way back in April, we heard rumors that Google was going to release a new version of the Nexus 7. In late July, after months of rumors, the company finally announced the second generation of its 7-inch tablet. However, while the tablet was available almost immediately in the States, folks in the UK were forced to wait a bit longer for their Nexus fix.

The good news is that the wait is over -- the new Nexus 7 is here. A month after its unveiling, the device is now on sale in the UK, Germany, France, Spain, and Japan. UK pricing is set at £200 for the entry-level model with 16 GB of storage. The 32 GB version will set you back another £40 with its £240 price tag. Those looking for some cellular connectivity can snag the LTE model from O2 for £320, but that won't be available for another couple of weeks.

The all new Nexus 7 features a 7.02-inch 1920 x 1200 1080p HD display (323 ppi) with scratch-resistant Corning glass, a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro with Adreno 320 400 MHz graphics, 2 GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel camera, a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera, 16 GB of storage, dual-band WiFi (2.4 GHz/5 GHz) 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, NFC, a 3,950 mAh battery, and Micro USB with SlimPort-enabled (meaning it can output HDMI video and audio through the microUSB port thanks to DisplayPort technology and a special microUSB-to-HDMI adapter). The whole show is running on the newest release of Android, Android 4.3.
