Nexsan RAID, SAN, and Disk-to-Disk Network Storage
Next week, Omid and Dave will be on-site at Comdex in Las Vegas, attending all the goings on and letting us in on all the new tech goodies that will be paraded about. Amongst the exhibitors will be Nexsan Technologies, who will be showing off its new RAID, SAN and D2D (Disk-to-Disk) backup gadgets. Nexsan's new D2D backup product will be displayed in the company's new 14-bay InfiniSAN ATAboy ATA disk-based storage system. The InfiniSAN ATAboy D2D backup setup is available with either Fibre or SCSI host connectivity in a scaleable, low profile, rackmount format that provides disk storage starting at 500GB. Nexsan's new InfiniSAN 4 series supports one or two RAID controllers, with the option of configuring a disaster-tolerant solution of two single controller subsystems linked via three optical links, two of which are redundant. All of Nexsan's InfiniSAN products are system-independent, supporting SAN, DAS, or NAS configurations, and Full Fabric, Fibre, SCSI, or ATA. They provide support for TCP/IP, Ethernet, Data and SCSI or IP, and for Serial, LAN, WAN or web connections.
