New VXI Computer Headset Systems
I'm sure that you can think of many applications for a hands-free input device, but giving your computer commands without touching the mouse is only one of many uses VXI touts for its three new Parrott computer headsets. The company says the Barbados headset can be used for Internet telephony, speech recognition, gaming, and listening to music. It's also compatible with many PCs, laptops, and soundcards. The Bahama 1 (monaural) and Bahama 2 (binaural) headset systems can be used for computing and telephone applications by alternating between the phone and the computer by tapping a button. The new Parrott headsets feature a quick disconnect pendant with mute switch and volume fine-tuning adjustment and are compatible with most telephone systems and soundcards. List price for the new Parrott Barbados Headset is $59. Pricing for the new Parrott Bahama computer/telephone headset systems range from $139 to $150.
