Time Passes...
The SP 5000 is a strange product, since it's capable of displaying an HD signal in native 720p and yet its technical characteristics are more in line with last year's products. The result is a disappointing picture, either in HD or 576p modes. This model's price makes it the most affordable on the current market, but you'd do better to buy a Sanyo PLV-Z3 or a Panasonic PTAE700U, which you can find on sale for around $1,500 nowadays.
