New Mac OS beta Sept. 13

by - source: Tom's Hardware

Originally slated for release last year, it will include a desktop MP3 player, an upgraded QuickTime interface, support for the OpenGL graphics API, Sun's Java 2 API and symmetric multiprocessing. Reportedly, it will also have a one-second "wake up" and protected memory that will function even after a system crash.
