Network Instruments, Atheros partner for a/b/g WLAN analysis
Network analysis toolmaker Network Instruments just announced that they have partnered with Atheros to add multimode 802.11a/b/g wireless capability to its popular Observer line of network analysis products. The company says that this is the first product capable of WLAN analysis for 802.11a, b, and draft-11g standards.
The enhancement uses wireless adapters based on Atheros' AR5001X+ multimode 802.11a/b/g chipset and is available in all Observer products immediately. Observer pricing starts at around $1000 .
