Netscape Communications has put out its long-awaited final version 6, though some reviewers are suggesting that users wait for the next incremental release for some needed minor fixes. The browser is gaining praise for its standards compliance but criticism for eliminating some messaging features wanted by corporations. This version is completely rewritten and runs on the Gecko technology developed by the Mozilla open-source project. It supports a wide range of platforms, including Linux.
