Netgear debut impressive
Computer networking equipment maker Netgear Inc. impressed investors in its stock market debut Thursday, providing the latest sign of a financial revival in the long-slumping Silicon Valley. "Netgear’s shares surged $3.69 (U.S.), or 26 per cent, from an initial public offering price of $14 to close at $17.69 on the Nasdaq Stock Market. The IPO of 7 million shares raised $98-million before expenses."
