NETGEAR adds 50 tunnel VPN router
NETGEAR today refreshed its line of VPN-endpoint routers with a new addition.
The FVS328 Cable/DSL ProSafe VPN Firewall with Dial Back-up is an SPI-based router with eight auto-sensing, Auto Uplink (auto MDI / MDI-X) 10/100 Mbps switched ports and RS-232 serial port for ISDN/analog modem auto fail-over back-up.
The FVS328 supports up to 50 simultaneous hardware-accelerated 3DES VPN IPsec tunnels , Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) features with certificate authority support and Internet Key Exchange (IKE) authentication. IPSec, PPTP and L2TP VPN pass-through is also supported.
Other features include secure web-based remote administration via secure sockets layer (SSL) encryption, port/service blocking, URL-based content filtering, logging, reporting and email Internet activity alerts.
