NeoLinux 2.1
As we mentioned yesterday, a whole gang of developers (the TV Linux Alliance ) are now pushing Linux for set-top boxes. Keeping with this trend, Neoware Systems just let us know that it is putting out release 2.1 of its NeoLinux operating system. NeoLinux Release 2.1 includes integrated USB support, an RDP client for Windows 2000 servers, an upgraded Citrix ICA client, and multi-lingual keyboard support for European languages. Its primarily targeted at Neoware's own Eon appliances. NeoLinux is a compact version of Red Hat Linux that Neoware says is designed to operate without a hard drive or significant amounts of memory. Neoware's NeoLinux Release 2.1 is available from Neoware's site if you have a software update deal for your Eon box.
