Electronics Arts is now developing a PC version of its Need For Speed: High Stakes racing game.
A Playstation version of the game was introduced earlier this year, but the company promises that the PC title will incorporate some features not available to the Playstation audience.
Players will be able to race in two gameplay modes on 19 unique tracks. Graphical effects include real-time lighting and reflective environmental mapping, polygonal car damage that affects the car appearance and performance, and animated drivers in both player and opponent cars.
Each of the racecars in the game is created from exact manufacturer specifications and will be supported by a comprehensive reference section. Some of the available 18 cars include the Porsche 911 Turbo, BMW Z3, Chevrolet Corvette, Ferrari SV, and Lamborghini Diablo.
