NEC To Re-Enter Video Game Arena as a Software Developer
Most gamers probably do not remember the TurboGrafx-16 from NEC, as this system was popular many years before the current gaming systems of PS2, GameCube and Xbox. NEC is poised to re-enter the video game business as a software developer with its newly created U. S. gaming division company, NEC Interchannel. Former Vice President of Capcom Entertainment, Clint Kurahashi, will reportedly head NEC Interchannel. With the talented group of people available at NEC, they should make a big splash in the video game market. It is reported that NEC Interchannel will be developing games for Xbox, PlayStation 2, and Game Boy Advance, which is great news for gamers. "Tube Slider" for the GameCube is said to be the first title that will be released under the NEC Interchannel label.
