NEC shows off first Bluetooth notebook
NEC unveiled a prototype of the first notebook computer to use Bluetooth technology at the CeBIT tech show in Germany.
Company officials did not say when the device might be available, since it could be a year or more before other computers and peripherals such as printers that support Bluetooth hit the market.
Analysts expect the high-speed, short-range wireless technology will become commonplace in a wide variety of electronic devices within the next four years.
