NEC Packard Bell is poised to announce PCs designed with new digital music capabilities.
The NEC Home Music Studio PCs will contain all the necessary components to record, edit, store, and share digital music.
The computers will offer Pentium III processors, running at up to 550MHz, and will feature "all-in-one" designs similar to the recently introduced Z1. The systems will include a 13GB hard drive, up to 128MB of memory, and a rewritable CD drive. Prices will range from $1,349 to $1,699.
NEC is also expected to introduce new consumer PCs in October, starting at $599 and featuring processors from AMD.
