According to reports from Taiwan TFT LCD producers, NEC and SVA Electronic (SVA-E) will form a 25:75 joint venture to build a fifth-generation (5G) TFT LCD production line of 45,000-substrate monthly processing capacity in China. The new line is scheduled to begin production in the first quarter of 2004.
