You don't change a winning formula. NBA Street Vol. 2 broadly follows the same lines as its predecessors. To win your basketball matches you need to make the most spectacular moves possible. A meter called the "Gamebreaker" measures the quality of your passes. This enables you to gain additional points and deduct them from your opponent. In the first version of the game, each fancy move added a point to your team and deducted two from your rivals, but now the Gamebreaker is capable of categorizing these acrobatics. The most complex moves are now worth two points and cost the other side three. These moves are at the heart of NBA Street's gameplay, and this new version completes the picture.
The number of tricks you can use to bamboozle your opponent has doubled since the first version, as have the number of baskets. In addition to the classic passes, alley-hoop, sending the ball skyward, and defensive blocking, a few nice moves have been added to this new version. For instance, you can now kick the ball "back 2 papa," a move that consists of slamming the ball violently against the backboard behind the basket, and "off the Heezay," when you aim the ball at your opponent's head. The wider range of moves naturally enriches the graphical quality of the game.

It's all a question of style!
