Napster judge won't crack down
US District Judge Marilyn Hall Patel has refused to honor the music industry's request to get even tougher on Napster for not blocking copyrighted music. Though frustrated by the lack of progress, she told music industry lawyers that she was constrained by the terms handed down to her by the US Court of Appeals, to whom she referred those who want harsher penalties.
