Napster case cheers supporters

The slam-dunk ruling against Napster that the music industry was hoping for does not appear to be on the agenda. Two of the three judges hearing the case were openly skeptical toward claims made by Recording Industry Association of America attorneys. When one lawyer stated that Napster could track trades of illegally copied music, Judge Robert Beezer asked, "How are they expected to have knowledge of what's coming off a kid's computer in Hackensack and being downloaded in Guam?"
