Micron, Hynix and Toshiba drive NAND Flash market in Q3
Micron, Hynix and Renesas were the big winners in the NAND flash memory market in the third quarter, according to a report released by market research firm iSuppli. Micron increased its NAND revenue by 400 percent, which boosted its market position from the seventh spot in the second quarter to number 5 in Q3.
Hynix, number 3 of the ranking, increased its NAND revenue by almost 59 percent and closed the gap to Toshiba that holds the second place. Renesas’ NAND-flash sales increased by 46.4 percent. Samsung still dominates the global NAND Flash market with a share of 50.2 percent.

Worldwide NAND flash revenue rose to $2.97 billion in the third quarter, up 30.2 percent from $2.28 billion in the second quarter.
