Newtek's Tricaster

Ad

Newtek, a company known for its Video Toaster and Lightwave products, garnered a huge crowed at its booth with its new TriCaster box. This modified Shuttle PC replaces a television studio's worth of equipment. Up to three camcorders can be attached and the operator can switch between camcorders, fades, computer input and stored video - while outputting to a projector or the Internet.

In a future article, we will provide full details of the TriCaster and why it may be the killer product for small studios.

PNY

PNY showed off its Quadro FX540, which is a PCI Express board that features HD component video out. This allows for real-time previewing of your video editing, on an HD monitor. The board is currently shipping and sells for $325.
