Musicians/techies criticize music labels
The rift between music labels and musicians over publishing companies' failure to take advantage of Web-enabled music delivery systems seems to be growing. The inability or unwillingness of older, established labels to understand or exploit opportunities created by the Internet for distributing music has been a major theme, according to a writer for Wired, at a gathering of musicians and music technology companies in Portland, Oregon.
