Image, sound and video files can be played back via the DVD drive, the internal hard disk (mostly 10 GB) or via the network. A disadvantage is the file system on the internal hard disk that is limited to 42 characters. However, with the help of the MP3 fat-x renamer program, files intended for the XBox can be shortened accordingly. Access to other network computers requires saved plain text registration information. We therefore strongly recommend creating an XBox profile on the host PC.
Playback of SVCDs with their own menus is not yet possible; playing DVDs and using the menus as you want to is also only possible with the original XBox Media Player.
