Luggable media and sneakernet to lead the way for home media networks
According to market research by In-Stat, although there has been much hype about multimedia home networks, what the company calls "low-cost" portable storage devices that can move content throughout the home, via the "sneakernet," may win the favor of consumers. What In-Stat terms "luggable" media provide low-cost solutions, high availability, and convenience.
